Vandoren V.12 Reeds Bb Clarinet

V-12 reeds vibrate over a longer range than traditional reeds and provide a rich, deep sound. V-12 reeds for Bb clarinet are cut from cane tubes of the same diameter as those used for alto saxophone reeds. As a result, V-12 reeds are thicker at both ends than traditional reeds. They vibrate over a longer range and produce a rich, deep sound. The thicker tip adds body to the attack and also increases the longevity of the reed. The addition of strength 3 1/2 + allows for a tighter graduation of strengths. This results in better homogeneity of reeds within the same strength.
