This tool was designed and manufactured at MusicMedic in Wilmington, North Carolina. After years of unpredictable results with hammer handles the frustrated technicians in the ProShop asked that we design a tool for straightening rods that consistently produces a straight rod. When you give them a squeeze, you'll see why they do better job straightening rods than your hammer hole. Their precision and repeatability make these pliers the perfect tool and save you from breaking rods or over bending them causing stress and uneven waves in the rod.

Three contact points on the pliers apply pressure to bend the rod in a uniform and consistent way every time. The three brass inserts last a long time can be rotated for a fresh source and removed and replaced in years when they are too worn. Simply chuck your rod in a bench motor, lathe, or vice, and gently squeeze the aluminum handles.
