Who's working at MusicMedic.com

Matt Scott

We are very pleased to have Matthew Scott on the team at MusicMedic.com. Matt is a great saxophonist, meticulous repair technician and an all around great guy to work with.

Although busy concertizing, arranging and gigging, Matt makes every effort to learn more about the saxophone, particularly vintage saxophones. In college (SUNY Fredonia), Matt studied the construction of various saxophones, researching changes that designers made to the instrument over the years. Hoping to one day design his own saxophone, Matt began a concentrated study of saxophone acoustics at Fredonia State. After taking classes in acoustics, physics, chemistry, and advanced calculus, Matt searched for a place to study repair where he could develop his skills working only on saxophones. Finding the MusicMedic.com repair shop was the perfect answer to Matt's search.

After meeting Matt and hearing him play, we knew he would be a solid member of the team and a worthy Tenor player in any quartet. Matt's control of the instrument in the altissimo range and his love for music are inspiring. If you have the pleasure to share the stage with Matt or to play an instrument Matt has worked on, you will understand why we are so excited to have him on the team.
