These Saxophone Key Swedging pliers were designed in the MusicMedic.com
Pro shop to fit all large saxophone key hinge tubes. The handles were
designed to be extra long for better control and greater leverage. The
jaws are highly polished to prevent marring of keys and to minimize
friction.
Our swedging pliers are unique for several reasons: The jaws form a
perfect circle when open only 1mm. This means that the pliers make
contact almost all the way around the hinge tube and swedge smoothly and
evenly. They will not mar the key or press the tube into an oval. The
opening is cylindrical without any taper or flare, so the pliers will not slip off the end of a key or swedge the end of the hinge tube into a
taper. The outside of the pliers are rounded to match the opening and
give plenty of clearance for compound keys such as the top stack C# or
bottom stack F#.
The standard width are extra wide to distribute the force over a large area and leave absolutely no marks. These pliers will give you the results you need to do superb key fitting.
