Polyolefin tubing is a versatile tubing and makes a good accompaniment to the Teflon and Hot Glue Filled tubing. It is not as firm as the Teflon and not as soft as the Hot Glue Filled and can be used with either tubing to provide extra cushion. It can also easily be layered to the desired thickness.
Hot Glue Filled tubing and Teflon tubing can be used in combination with one another. By layering the Teflon tubing over the hot glue tubing a low friction and stable connection is created. This combination can be heated and will conform to the mechanism. This is very useful for side key mechanisms on saxophones. |
