Precut saxophone pad shims save a great deal of time in the shop. Our saxophone pad shims are made from heavy stock and precision cut. When a pad needs to be just a bit thicker to seat well, set a shim behind the pad in the pad cup. Shims are 0.45mm or 0.018in. thick. The sizes below represent the actual diameter of the the pad shim. In general, use a pad shim that measures one millimeter less than the pad you are shimming. So, if you are shimming a 52mm pad, use a 51mm pad shim.
The 95 shim assortment contains one each of size 16.0 through 63.0 in half millimeter increments.
