A
Student overhaul entails:
Disassembly
The
Clarinet is carefully disassembled. The old pads, corks and felts are
removed. Once the Clarinet is disassembled, the body and keys are
carefully cleaned to remove any trace of dirt, oil or debris.
Removal
of dents
This
only applies on the Bell of Bass Clarinets, and Alto Clarinets.
Student overhauls include minor dent removal, some dent removal may
require an added fee although this is not often the case on metal
Clarinet bells. At MusicMedic.com we are capable of removing any
dents that you may have in your Bell. Dent work that is considered
major will add to the cost of an overhaul and will be quoted before
any work is done.
Key
Work
All key work is done as necessary to allow for a smooth feel down the length of the instrument. Key fitting is done only as needed. Tenon and key corks are replaced using premium natural cork.
Rebuild
With
the Clarinet in proper order, premium double skin pads as well as
high grade cork and felt are installed. The Clarinet will be play
tested and adjusted.
The
Overhaul process takes one week from the day that it arrives at our
shop. If you need more information on Student Clarinet overhauls,
