MusicMedic.com shellac sticks are the finest available. Many technicians and players feel that a firm shellac which cools to a hard state improves the tone of the instrument. We offer four types of shellac for pad installation. The primary difference between the sticks is color. Often a more aesthetically pleasing job can be done with shellac that is the same color as the pads. In the MusicMedic.com repair shop clear shellac is used almost exclusively.
Clear and amber shellac are also available in a dispensing gun.
RooGloo:
This is a premium shellac with a slightly higher melting point that cools very hard giving a solid backing to the saxophone pad. RooGloo was designed to work well with the RooPads available at MusicMedic.com. RooGloo is white and will not look unsightly when installed with the RooPads.
Gourmet Glue:
The Gourmet glue is very similar to the RooGloo. It has the same melting point and cools very hard. The GourmetGloo is black and works very well with the SaxGourmet pads.
Clear:
A very clear shellac that is premium quality. Clear sticks are crystal clear making them easy to work with.
Amber:
A premium amber that work very well with Tan pads. |
